A sixth generation, family owned and operated business, Lessing's has been dedicated to quality and excellence in food service since 1890.

Founder Maxwell Lessing built the Lessing's brand with his vision of providing services to coffee shops in lower Manhattan. By 1917, the company grew into a downtown operation comprised of a bakeshop, commissary and additional service outlets located near Manhattan's Financial District. Lessing's was serving an integral part of the New York's workforce by the late 1920s from as many as 20 locations including the famous Woolworth Building on Wall Street.

We are proud to have initiated significant milestones in New York's food service industry. From being the first company to "serve" the sandwich and Coca-Cola in Manhattan, Lessing's has been on the forefront of innovation while providing great food to customers.

Today, Lessing's is one of the Northeast's leading providers of food service management through a variety of dining and hospitality operations. Dedicated to innovation, sustainability, and nutrition, our brand spans over 100 locations – including corporate dining, educational institutions, private and public clubs, and vending accounts – across the region.

As one of the most recognizable names in hospitality on Long Island, we own and operate some of the area's finest dining establishments. Lessing's full-service restaurants include four-star Mirabelle featuring world class ambiance paired with the finest French cuisine, the waterfront View Restaurant offering the best seafood Long Island has to offer, and trademark “Main Street” locations serving moderately priced American fare including Post Office Café, Maxwell's, Library Café, Finnegan’s and the Southside Hotel.

Our hotel, Three Village Inn, remains one of Long Island's great historic landmarks. Located in a Revolutionary War era building, it has been known for its local history and New England charm since 1939. Acquired by Lessing's in 2006, the Inn underwent a complete re-branding with the addition of a new award-winning chef, two restaurant openings, and banquet and lodging makeover.

Known for executing countless weddings and special occasions one at a time, Lessing's offers an array of unique venues. Historic mansions range from the one-of-a-kind Bourne Mansion to the medieval-style Chateau at Coindre Hall. Country club venues are nestled within rolling hills and boast scenic views from Long Island's Nissequogue River to New England's meandering terrain. Waterfront and beachfront destinations include View on the Great South Bay and Pavilion at Sunken Meadow on the North Shore.

Catering to uncompromising clients from Manhattan to Montauk, Mirabelle Private Events is the event-catering arm of four-star Mirabelle. Award-winning Chef Guy Reuge extends his expertise and excellence to fit specific client requests from any location. World-class cuisine, presentation, service, and ambiance is delivered for clients demanding precision and excellence.

Whether it is a personal or corporate event, an attentive and detail-oriented staff of banquet managers, chefs and personnel aim for perfection.
