Tavern In Stony
Brook
The first restaurant
in star chef Guy
Ruege's
much-anticipated
twofer at the Three
Village Inn has

Tavern is the more
casual eatery at the

original Mirabelle
in St. James later
this year. Mirabelle
Tavern mixes old New
England and bright
New American
Accents. The opening
menu, divided among
"small plates,"
"trilogy plates"
that include three
dishes with a single
theme, and classic
plates, such as
chicken pot pie,
beef Bourguignon,
steak frites, fish
and chips and a
hamburger with
onion-bacon
marmalade. The
appetizers include
quiche Lorraine,
organic egg cocotte,
braised pork belly
with
carrot-and-ginger
salad and house-made
garlic sausage with
green lentil ragout;
the trios, a union
of smoked!,
pastrami-cured and
gravlax salmon; and
grilled lamb chops,
with eggplant
caviar, preserved
lemon-and-caper
gremolata and
miso-roasted
eggplant. The Tavern

breakfast seven
days, lunch Monday
to Saturday, dinner
seven days, and
Sunday for brunch.
